## Also used on set (short)

**Board** — informal for storyboard. On some productions “the board” also means the day’s schedule. Ask.

**Element** — a reusable character, location, prop or pack shot. Lock it once so frame 3 matches frame 47.

**Local-first** — the app writes and plays the board on your machine, then syncs. [Reframe](/reframe).

**Review link** — a URL a client can open, comment, and approve without an account. [How to run a round](/blog/client-review-for-storyboards).

**Shot code** — scene plus letter (`12-A`). Identity, not playback order. [Numbering](/blog/storyboard-numbering-and-shot-codes).

**Take** — a camera attempt. Not a board field. Do not number takes on the storyboard.
