# Shooting board

A shooting board lists camera setups a crew can schedule. A presentation board sells the scene. Do not shoot off the pretty one.

A **shooting board** is the version of the storyboard that lists setups: masters, overs, inserts, repeats. It is allowed to look boring. A **presentation board** sells tone to a client or financier. Many productions need both. They are not interchangeable.

## What changes between the two

- Panel count goes up (coverage)
- Footers gain lens, movement, duration
- Characters get less rendering and more geometry
- Shot codes become stable identity
