A super is on-screen text (legal, URL, endline). Time it on the storyboard frame that holds it. Untimed supers are how a :30 becomes illegal or unreadable.

A **super** is on-screen text: legal copy, a URL, a claim, an endline. It occupies time and space. If you do not put a duration on the frame that holds it, the editor will, and the slot will break — or the lawyer will.

Commercial boards should show the super on the picture, not in a caption no one prints. [Duration](/glossary/duration) · [commercial storyboard](/commercial-storyboard).
