Reframe for macOS · Legal

Privacy Policy

Reframe is local first. This policy explains the limited situations in which data leaves your Mac and the choices you control.

1. Scope

This policy applies to Reframe, the local-first macOS storyboarding application published by AREGRID Limited under the CineoBoard product family. It is separate from the CineoBoard web service privacy policy.

Reframe does not require an account for its core local features. Your storyboard project files remain on the storage locations you choose unless you deliberately export, share, or send content to another service.

2. Local projects and app settings

Reframe reads and writes storyboard projects, images, audio, exports, preferences and encrypted provider credentials on your Mac. These items are processed locally to open, edit, preview, save, print and export your work.

We do not receive your local project content merely because you use Reframe. Deleting a project or app preference is controlled through macOS and the storage location you selected.

3. Chat Storyboard and user-selected AI providers

Chat Storyboard is hidden until you explicitly enable the plugin and provide a valid endpoint, deployment and API key. Before the first transfer to a destination, Reframe identifies the destination host and the project data categories that may be sent and asks for confirmation.

When enabled, the relevant storyboard text, board context, instructions and requested images are sent directly from your Mac to the endpoint you configured. CineoBoard does not proxy these requests by default and does not receive your API key. Provider credentials saved by Reframe are protected using the operating system's secure storage facilities.

The provider you choose processes data under its own privacy, retention and model-training terms. Review those terms before enabling the feature. Reframe requests non-persistent processing where the provider supports it, but cannot override an external provider's policies.

4. Purchases and entitlement verification

Mac App Store purchases are processed by Apple. Reframe does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple supplies product and transaction information needed to complete, restore and manage a purchase.

Reframe uses RevenueCat to validate App Store receipts and determine whether Pro features are active. This can include an app-generated anonymous user identifier, product identifiers, purchase and renewal status, transaction and receipt data, app version, platform information and service diagnostics. RevenueCat processes this information on our behalf to operate purchases and entitlements.

Monthly and annual subscriptions may include a seven-day introductory trial when displayed by the App Store. The lifetime product is a one-time purchase and has no recurring charge. StoreKit's localized price and terms shown at purchase time control if they differ from marketing copy.

5. Local network and optional integrations

If you start Reframe's companion or remote-control features, the app can run a local-network service so a device on the same network can connect. Reframe shows the connection address only while that service is available. Do not enable it on a network you do not trust.

Reframe can open files in an image editor and export formats for other production tools when you choose those actions. Those applications handle the files under their own policies.

6. Analytics, diagnostics and support

Reframe does not include advertising trackers and does not send the inherited Storyboarder analytics identifier or legacy usage events.

If you contact support, we process the contact details, message and attachments you choose to provide so we can answer the request. Do not send API keys or confidential project files unless they are necessary and you understand what you are sharing.

7. Retention and deletion

Local projects and settings remain on your Mac until you remove them. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat as required to validate ownership, restore purchases, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations and resolve support issues.

Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the request, security, dispute resolution and legal obligations. You can request deletion of personal support data, subject to records we must retain by law.

8. Your choices and rights

You can use Reframe without enabling Chat Storyboard, remove saved provider settings, stop local-network services, manage subscriptions through Apple and restore eligible purchases inside the app.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal data we control. Email privacy@cineoboard.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

9. Security, children and international processing

We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we process, but no storage or transmission system is completely secure. Keep your Mac, Apple ID and provider credentials protected.

Reframe is a professional creative tool and is not directed to children under 13. Apple, RevenueCat, support systems and a provider you select may process information in countries other than yours, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when Reframe's features or legal obligations change. We will publish the revised date here and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how we handle personal data.
