Slugline

Updated

A slugline is the scene heading from the script: INT. KITCHEN – NIGHT. It should stay on the storyboard footer so frames never orphan from the script.

A slugline (scene heading) is the script line INT. KITCHEN – NIGHT or EXT. PIER – DAWN. Import it with the script and keep it on the frame footer. Orphan frames (“that kitchen one”) are how takes get shot in the wrong location.

Fountain and Final Draft import. Numbering: shot codes.

Related: shot list, storyboard.
