A sketch pad is not a storyboard
Excalidraw gives you a canvas where you can draw anything in a hand-drawn style. It is excellent for quick sketches, diagrams and brainstorming. But a storyboard is not a sketch. A storyboard is a sequence: frame 1, frame 2, frame 3, in order, with shot data on every frame.
CineoBoard enforces the sequence. Frames are ordered, numbered and carry shot size, lens, duration and camera movement. Reorder a frame and the shot list, the timing and the export update automatically.
Hand-drawn aesthetic vs production data
Excalidraw's hand-drawn style is charming for presentations and informal visuals. But a production board needs more than charm: it needs shot data, timing, a synced shot list and the ability to become an animatic.

If you need a quick, free, hand-drawn-style sketch or diagram, Excalidraw is the right tool. It is fast, it is free, and it has a lovely aesthetic.
