Storyboard That is an excellent teaching and communication tool. It is not a camera-aware production tool: there is no lens, no coverage, no timing and no crew workflow. CineoBoard is built for the shoot.

Comic panels are not shots

A Storyboard That panel communicates an idea. A production frame has to communicate a camera: how wide, on what lens, moving how, for how long, cutting to what. Without those fields a board cannot become a shot list, a schedule or an animatic.

CineoBoard attaches that data to every frame and keeps it synced, so a reorder updates the list, the timing and the export in one move.

Consistency across a whole sequence

Clip-art gives consistency by construction but not the look a client bought. CineoBoard's element library gives you both: save a character, wardrobe, prop or set once and it appears identically in shot 3 and shot 47, in the visual style of the production.

The workflow around the board

CineoBoard is a local-first storyboarding app called Reframe paired with a cloud workspace for projects, scenes and shot management. Boards render and play back on your own machine, then sync to a shared project layer with Slack and Microsoft Teams notifications, an API and CLI that agentic coding tools such as Codex can drive, and an Intercom-grade CineoBoard Assistant that answers questions, edits and organises work inside the board.

Choose CineoBoard if

  • Clip-art characters are the aesthetic you want
